“A process of expanding limited data to more cases enabling small data sets to be used for more complex analysis. The initial data is treated as a distribution and new samples are generated by randomly drawing data from that sample distribution. It is a common practice for small samples, but it is always better to obtain more data if possible. The small sample might not accurately represent the true data.”
